Yup. Went up to Robinhoods bay, North Yorks for the weekend.
The Laurel pub (end of the coast to coast walk) has done a deal with Tetley's and no longer has Theakstons or OP.
I was advised not to ask a staff member why for fear of getting lumped. Everyone who walks in asks the same question. "Where the bloody hell is the OP?"
He had Teleys, Broad Side and Jennings Best on. I don't mind a good pint of Teleys but alas it was well chilled and had lost its flavour
Please Mr Laurel owner sir, bring back the OP!!!!
Does anyone actually do a good pint of OP anymore. Everytime I find a pub its normally a best ale and a. either isnt getting the turn over and is off, or b. doesnt isnt being kept well. Trip to Masham then?
Still, The Pub in Beck Hole still does a good pint of black sheep. Just meant abit more of a trip to get a drink!
