What is the largest number of real real ales people have seen at a pub beer festival? That is beers actually available. And meaning in the pub itself, not in the car park or an adjacent tent.

POW foxfield has had 26 on - one for each letter of the alphabet.
Going again on Sat so might ask what their record is, just out of curiosity!!
POW is a village pub, prolly no more than 100 inhabitants but on a good rail line and people flock from all over the north!
Marquis of Granby at Granby (where else?) under previous owners regularly had 26 in an outhouse plus another 7 at the bar.The outhouse was part of the pub building so maybe that counts. I think the Plough at Hickling put on a similar number, the beers were all in the cellar so the staff had to go down for your order. But the beer stayed in good nick throughout the festival.
The Crown at Oakengates (Telford) used to do a festival with a cellar-run; c.30 ales IIRC. I haven't been for a bit though.
Depends what you mean by "real real ales" - do you mean dispensed without cask breathers?

I just meant real ales, not reracked for example. I hadn't thought about cask breathers. Does it make much difference?
Do I detect a can of worms being opened :-)

I'm not sure why the OP wants in outhouses or tents to be excluded. many pub festivals I've been to have the normal number of beers on at the bar and many more elsewhere.
The landlord, on whose behalf I ask, wants to set a record for beers in or at the bar. Hence the exclusion of external premises. Allowing for that would, I believe, make the Howcroft festival the winner.
The much lamented Stanley Arms in Stockport once had seventy eight beers on inside the pub at one time.
The Star at Huddersfield has fifty plus beers served from the cellar on handpump through a manhole into a tent
on the car park.
Cheers
