Sheffield Pubs

Does anyone know how the well known sheffield pubs Fat Cat, Kelhan Island Tavern, Hillsborough, etc fared during the recent flooding.

I saw that Sheffield Wednesday had been flooded on the television and the Kelham Island ones are quite low lying.

Anybody got any idea?

Kelham island Tavern shut Fat Cat shut Harlequin shut Gardeners rest shut -suffered badly

The others are open as i understand.

I talked to Trevor & Lewis this morning (Wed) of the Kelham Island and they expect to be shut for a month. (SOB) All beer in kegs condemned All the floor tiles in smoking part lifted from floor Non Smoking bit floor warped - cellars flooded and a lot of crud not helped by other stuff from industrial premises with 'heavy metal' residue in the run off.

The Fat Cat was on BBC news this lunchtime - completely washed out, equipment soiled, beer wasted, you name it...

That is an absolute disaster. Our local has quite a lot of beer from them. Looks like it will be a long time before I drink anything from there now :-(

Kelham Island Brewery has apparently lost all its stock too.

I feel very sorry for Pat and Eddie at the Gardeners Rest - I thought immediately of them when I heard the news about the flooding.
