Tehe .. you're quite right - I feel an alteration coming on, especially as I send new information to them!!!!
Perhaps I should change it to say about OTHER breweries!!
Hi
I recently spotted this in a local paper - I thought it might be of interest.
-------------------------------------------------------------- COUNTY TO HOST THREE NEW BREWERIES
CUMBRIA will soon be able to boast a staggering 25 breweries as three new producers are expected to come on tap over the next few months.
The new launches will mean that the number of breweries in the county have almost doubled in little more than two years.
When the Campaign for Real Ale guide to Cumbria was published in Easter 2005, it listed just 14 breweries.
Spoilt-for-choice ale drinkers will be able to raise a glass to the Whitehaven Brewing Company Ltd soon while the Great Corby Brewery is expected to start production soon, after taking delivery of a new
10-barrel plant.Meanwhile, a five-barrel brewery is nearing completion at Blackbeck Bridge Inn, near Beckermet.
The Whitehaven brewery, set up-by Barrie Roberts and Chris Webber, recruited the skills and know-how of Peter Laws, the former chief brewer at Jennings.
Mr Roberts, a mechanical engineer at Sellafield, said: "I have brewed all my life at home and in garages and this is just a natural progression.
"There has been a boom in breweries in the county over the past couple of years and some of the products are fantastic, really good, we hope to be one of them."
The brewery is to be a 10-barrel plant in a barn at Croasdale, near Ennerdale, which is still being refurbished.
Planning permission has been approved and full-scale production is expected to start soon.
Jim Chappie, editor of the CAMRA Guide to Cumbria, welcomed the new brewers and said: "Cumbrian beer is a brand now."

He is also uncommunicative. I sent him an e-mail asking for information last August before a visit to Cumbria, and another one after our return, imparting some information that we had gleaned.
In neither case did I get an acknowledgement.
Thanks for that feedback.
If I can help ..?
And I would certainly be glad of information
Prolly does ... but also, I checked - my computer was not set to British summer time, which I have now sorted - thanks!
Chris, just back from pub again ...!!
