Star Inn Bath

Following the success of its 'Cornish Beer Festival in July, the Star Inn, Bath has decided to fit in another mini-beer festival before the Annual Bath Camra Festival held at the Pavilion in October.

It is being staged from Thursday 22 September until Sunday 25 September (whilst stocks last) at The Star the brewery tap of Baths own brewery Abbey Ales,

The theme for the September festival is 'Vicars and Tarts' and - yes - customers are being invited to dress up to win free beer and champagne for the best costumes of the evening.

Beers will include Abbey Ales White Friar only available in Bath ,Skinners Blonde, Dorothy Goodbodys Wholesome Stout, Slap and Tipple from Smiles, Abbot Ale and of course Bellringer.

Manager Paul Waters wants it to be a fun event and is encouraging all the regulars to participate in the fancy dress theme, but points out that - unlike the Cornish festival where he supplied pasties - he will not be supplying tarts!

Customers are also able to purchase tickets for the forthcoming Bath Camra Beer Festival.

The Star which is situated on the Vineyards off the Paragon is included again in this years Good Beer Guide and is listed on the National Inventory of Heritage Inns.

Amen!
