We have just found out that Whitehaven Beer Festival 2004 (Oct 1st and 2nd) coincides with the visit to the harbour of the replica Captain Cook's HMS Bark Endeavour.
We have had several really great Maritime Festicals here in recent years, and a number of tall ships visiting, but this is a real coup!
If you plan to come, and you want accommodation, for heaven's sake, book it now, because there isn't a lot and it will get booked up quickly.
