Tesco

Anyone out there received the latest "loyalty card" mag from Tesco? They have an interesting definition of "real ale" in a bottle methinks. Perhaps it should be " products sold on draft as real ales which have been filtered and pasteurised to within an inch of their lives in a bottle"?

I've not seen the tesco thing, but I'm hardly surprised after recent experiences & the lack of real explanation or interest from supermarkets & CAMRA (who edited out any mention of the false-labelling in my WB letter a few months back).

On a hoppier note, Don, I emailed you a few weeks back (do you have spam protection?) to try to get the co-op product code for your new Goldminer - my local co-op hasn't got it on the shelf, but said they'd get some in if I found out the code.

any chance you could pass it on? cheers Mike McG

BTW the deja email address is long dead, please use mic (underscore) mac (at) postmaster (dot) co (dot) uk

Happy to help, sorry I did not get your mail, my hard drive blew up about then so I lost a fair few 'mails: details are: NSL code: 859176 if you tell the beer manager this (don't forget to tell him it is the NSL code so he knows what you mean) he shouldn't have any problem getting stock in. On a bright note, the "Gold Miner" beat over 40 other bottles and draught beers in our regional Siba beer comp (see other post, sorry about the attachment it is a siba logo which pasted accross from the word file). [Am I allowed to mention a non-Camra beer comp here? ;-)] Cheers to all who have enjoyed the beer and those who are about to!! Thanks to Arfur and Dave for sorting out some subs for the judges who could not make it, I think a good time was had by all. Don.

Yes - but our nearest is nearly 30 miles away and the only times I am there either I can't go or it is shut.

I keep thinking about it!

He was undercover as a civillian.

The utility 90 pocket waistcoat in leu of anorak gave him away though.

The Rats were there too!!

I am pleased to say that the whole event was a completely unsanctioned blowout more

than ably run by the "Barrels Formation Charity Drinking Team" [may they live forever!]

Any chance that you & the 'Gold Miner' BCA will be appearing at the Abergavenny Food & Drink Festival on 20th / 21st of this month ?

I've just visited their updated website (1st Sep) and cannot find any info on you (Freeminer) attending this year !!! :o(

Cheers ...
