Worcester recommendations

Start at the Dragon and ask about others (yes, they will help people who want to tour). There's a rather nice B&B a short walk from the Dragon the name of which escapes me. However, left out of the Dragon, then across the road to the turn about 50 yards down, straight up that road and across the junction...

Comments from Worcester CAMRA: No pubs in Worcester City that I can suggest with accommodation....

Walter de Cantelupe at Kempsey has beer, food and beds.

Green Man on Tything seems to be getting thumbs up.

Tything is generally best area. Dragon, Coach & Horses, Saracens Head, Postal Order.

It's called the Foresters, it used to be a pub. Foresters Guest House,

From the Great British Beer Festival working party weekend in Worcester, we housed half of us there and the other half in the Five Ways, which wasn't far from the Dragon, near to the bus station. Beer was OK but nothing to write home about.

There was accommodation in a kiddy type pub selling 2 real ales near the Cathedral - sorry the name escapes me, we didn't use it because they were booked up: I think they only have 2 rooms.

Another pub we went in which was OK was the Cricketers: walk down the Tything from the Dragon, past Foregate St railway station, look to your right down a road and the pub's on the right.

All this is, of course, vastly out of date, but it's the best I can do!

Salmon Leap (or something similar) - fairly crap pub (football on telly).

Ale was OK. Food too, if you must.

The Swan with Two Nicks always used to be good. Don't think it has accommodation, though.
