Coreff

Any experiences of Coreff (brewed in Northern Brittany).

On draft it's a quite nice English-style real ale, but I've never had a bottle that wasn't sour. I knew this of old, but when I saw their new packaging this summer I thought that maybe they had a new bottling line too. No such luck, from tart to very sour.

I've noticed this with a few other French microbrews from that region -- perhaps it's just accepted as the beer equivalent of cidre fermier?

indeed, with a ringwood yeast strain, it is bound to...

I've had very few myself that weren't...

Certainly not, more like a question of brewers who have little idea of bottling and uneducated drinkers, who'd find anything good because it's different...

If you consider the other large-ish craft brewery in Brittany, that is Lancelot, I in the contrary never had a sour bottle of their products...

Cheers !

...but I have :-)

However, it was a long time ago so I'll look out for them again.
