Any good three star restaurants in Brittany?

In a département slightly larger than Massachusetts it's quite likely that there are one or two good 3-star restaurants. In fact, there are probably several hundred, but if you're looking for recommendations rather than an answer to the question in your subject line, please be more specific: *where* in Brittany, and also, perhaps, what kind of food do you prefer? Brittany is famed, and rightly, for its seafood dishes.

You'll also get "serious food" in many *unstarred* restaurants.

Have you thought of consulting a guide book? The Michelin (Red) is a highly-regarded authority.

I doubt there are many (Guide Michelin) three stars in Brittany. I am on a boat and do not have access to the book. I thought someone here ....

For what I understood, the concept of 1-/2-/3-star restaurants is from Michelin (the other well known guides use points or forks),

Free translation: 21 three-star, 74 two-star restaurants - for all of France in 2001.

Just to confirm the selection criteria: for all of Switzerland, Michelin had selected only one 3-star restaurant for years, now we have 2 three-star and 13 two-star restaurants

For Germany Michelin recommends 5 three-star and 13 two-star restaurants (2004 Guide)

And Italy only 2 three-star restaurants (2002):

Donna, afw is IMHO the premier english language wine group, although there are a few others off of usenet. Rarely will you find a more knowledgeable and cordial group of enthusiasts; I learn a lot here from some of the experts (I certainly don't consider myself one of those!) as well as share some of the dribs and drabs I know about the French wine scene. I think that anyone from r.t.e who enjoys a glass would benefit from reading here; additionally we do (too frequently some think!) discuss travel and restaurants in various locales, as well as customs local to the myriad wine producing areas -- many of course in Europe.

The group tends to be, as now, introspective and self-policing when things get a tad snippish. This is I think a good thing, as it keeps the signal-to-noise ratio higher than in any other newsgroup I know. As with any well established group it can be a little clique-ish, but that's pretty much the nature of the medium, and it is less so than elsewhere. "Newbies" are welcome here! Not that you're a wine newbie, of course! I remember sharing a mag of '85 Destieux (St Emilion) over a rare roast some while ago. There, shoehorned back on topic.

I apologise to David Kilo, the OP, for my bad-tempered reply.

OTOH, info about where in Brittany would allow more useful recommendations from people who've eaten in X, Y or Z , and it is (probably?!) beyond argument that Brittany does have a very large number of very, very good restaurants, starred or otherwise.
