OL in Northern Virginia???????????

I'm judging Virginia wine for Tasters Guild on Sat May 21 @ Holiday Inn in Chantilly, so I'm staying at the hotel night before.

Would love to gather together with AFW members @ Mark's Duck House in Falls Church on Fri May 20th. I could bring some Italians or just have a casual tasting-dinner with no theme. About 7:30 would be good.

How much does MDH charge for corkage and how far ahead do you need to book?

Jeez, I'd love to attend but there's that small matter of several thousand miles of land in between. ;^(

FWIW, as long as you're in the neighborhood be sure to try the "Naked Mountain" Chardonnay. I tasted that at a wine bar at Dulles Airport late last Millennium, and it was so *nice* I bought their last 3 bottles and brought them back with me to California. That's high praise from someone who _makes_ Chardonnay!

About 15 years ago, I thought the Harpers made the best chard in VA since then Linden and a bunch more wineries have emerged---At the time I wanted to bring Naked Mountain into MD but the winery didn't want to do the paper work. They're in Md now with a company set up by Williamsburg winery. Do they still have a label that is very primitive?

I was in Cal last Sept 3rd--cracked up rental car & ended up in hospital---I'm set to return maybe in 2006 to see friends in Sacramento & Redding & go to Taylor's refresher and maybe friends in LA........where are you located?

As of a few years ago their label was pretty simple. Black IIRC.

I'm in Burbank, one block from Disney Studios.
