Then it'll be 100 degrees and I'll be sitting in a cool, dark room, reacquainting myself with the wondrous variety of pilsners, hefes, and other light, refreshing, summery beers available from my local micros and brewpubs, of course. And wishing I was up in the Portland-Seattle region, where it's cool enough to venture outdoors between June and October.

Philosophically speaking, it doesn't matter.

Go for it. If you need justification, tell yourself that since SNCA tastes best fresh, you're really doing yourself, the beer, and potential future customers a favor by drinking it NOW.

It has worked for me with a keg of SNCA on a couple occasions.

Right now (admittedly not in your optimal time-frame), it's past mid-May with lots of rain squalls and clouds. It's still a little cool for hangin' outdoors with a beer in hand, but mostly we've been having these squalls - not the constant misty drizzle that is typical here, but the squalls that are more like rainstorms in the eastern USA.

But in a month or so, yep, it'll be outdoor drinkin' weather, and there will be a couple of brewfests coming up in the Seattle area to help kick off summer drinkin' season. Generally very nice outside; in Tejanese, not unlike spring, with even less humidity.
