and let us know what you think! I know we've still got a way to go withh the breweries and beers that still need adding, but I hope you all find it useful.

A friend of mine brought back something Little Creatures last year. We still have to open it, but with such a good rating, we won't hesitate too long now I guess.

Cheers,

Little Creatures Ale IS excellent, Gunter. You should try it asap. Oh, and on USENET, you're supposed to answer at the bottom of the former posting. Habit.

Cheers, Joris

I will have to pay my friend a visit...does this beer age well? (saying he doesn't drink it all himself)

Oops, sorry, just was to quick in my reply.(why does outlook expres go to the top of the post anyway?) Lucky Alexander Al (nl.dranken.bier) didn't see this finger slip. (or are you lurking Alexander?)

It means OBER is famous in Japan, or something like that. Still have to welcome our first member from that nook of the world though.

Crazy! Good show. Next Kerstbierenfestival 5 buses with little men & women with spectacles, blazers, raincoats and blitzing camera's, bowing every other step; paying with 500 Euro bills... Kampai! Jorisoe-san

More than just OBER ... did you find your way to the "Beer Events" page? It lists last year's Kerstbierfestival, as well as this year's Streekbieravond, Zythos Bierfestival, and the Beerweekend in September.

There's even more fun on

Thanks Gunter. :)

Little Creatures is great, they're a 30 minute drive for me, so a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon...

Cheers!

Maria.

Mmh, for me it will be something like a 30 hour flight I guess...but in 30 minutes (*) I'm in Antwerp, where I have plenty of good places to have a good beer and a chat. Problem is I can't seem to find a lazy afternoon...

cheers,

Gunter

Tasted the little creatures PA last weekend. Indeed a spuberb brew. Did a side-by-side tasting with Sierra Nevada PA, but the SN stood nowhere. The

2004 SN Celebration Ale made up for its brother afterwards however...but in the end a Rochefort 8 overclassed all the beers we had before.

It is a fairly mild APA by today's standards. Still a nice beer when fresh.

Agreed. It's more of what an APA is today.

That's easy to see. A truly world class beer.

Ob2000: For some reason the Vichy government has come to mind recently. Let's drink toast to collaborators!

Sliding standards. I'm not on board with that.

Little creatures is made in Western Australian. There are a few good smaller breweries there. I'd still rather go to Belgium though, as the dark ales are a bit dull.
