Traquair House Ale

11.2 oz. Bottle
7.2% ABV

My New Year's resolution is to drink more of the classic beers that I haven't got around to yet. This one poured a clear copper with a light, fine carbonation. Caramel malt nose with plenty of alcohol evident. Very malty but not overly sweet with a slighty burnt molasses flavor. Dry malty finish. I drank this at celler temperature (around

56 currently) . A great warming beer to sip on a snowy night.

My first time with this beer was a sublime experience. I had it at Monks in Philly, they served it to me at actual room temp, not even cellar temp. I was stunned. I ended up giving it a 5.0 at ratebeer. Had it since and probably think that score is a tad extreme, but its still a world classic in my mind.
