Do the different styles of Ibriks make much difference in the coffee they make?

Hi

I am new to the Greek/Turkish/Arabic style coffee. I have been looking for an briki/ibrik/cezves locally, but I guess I'll have to buy one online for there are no local stores that have these kinds of pots. But, I notice that there are several styles of these pots. All of them seem to have long handles of course, but the shape of the pots seem to vary between two basic shapes. One shape is cylindrical at the top and then widens considerably as it nears the bottom of the pot--Sort of like an inverted funnel, though without such drastic angles. Something like the little figure below (If it reproduces okay). _____ ! ! /__\

The other type seems to be much less angled, more like a standard pot with a long handle. They look very much like what might be called a melting pot for chocolate, and the like. Something like this figure ______ ! ! !__!

From what I have read, it is more or less essential that the coffee making process produce foam on top of the brew and the needs to be removed from the heat and then reheated and so on.

But, I am wondering if you feel either style has any advantage over the other. Or, do either of the styles work just as well?

Thanks for your input, Di
