Brew House Beer Kits in Canada

Dec 06, 2004 1 Replies

Hi,

I just made a batch of beer from a Brew House kit. It was excellent. I live in rural Manitoba, Canada and wondered where, in Canada, I get the best deals on Brew House Beer kits?

Thanks, Bill

Look around! I found a small variety store in a small town close to Edmonton selling it for around $5 cheaper the wine stores. A price between $24.95 and $32.00 Canadian is to be expected. If you want a better flavour, use a true lager yeast and put your secondary in a frig at between 4 and 8 degrees C.for about 3 months. That takes the edge off your priming sugar and lager/ale yeast flavour that comes from the yeast supplied with the kit. If you want to mess around with these kits, go to the brew house web site. It has a bunch of recipes you can try to augment the kits. Have fun.
