Is it a good idea to cork the beer exactly the same way as wine? I got some wine buttles, corker and corks and just wandering if I can use it.
I would suspect carbonation and pressure would push the cork out. Any experience?

have never done that but would think you would want to use champagne style corks and wires to hold them tight-- Buzz
I ran out of beer bottles during my last brew. Had a couple wine bottles, I make wine too, and some synthetic corks. I filled 2 - 750ml bottles and corked them. That was a month ago and they worked great. I've been keeping an eye on it and haven't noticed the cork trying to pop out.
