Frozen secondary fermentation lager - help

I have just come home from a short holiday to find my secondary fermentation lager frozen in the fridge. I have removed it from the fridge to warm up slowly. Is it worth bottling or have I completely ruined it. Any suggestions would be a geat help. Thanks

There are lots of stories about accidental frozen lagers making great beer. There's one on/in "

I've left bottles in the freezer and forgotten about them until they were frozen solid. I slowly thawed them out and tasted them side by side with an unfrozen bottle. No difference that I could tell.

I would be suspecting that any yeast left in the brew may well be dead. Just to be on the safe side, if I were you, I would add just a little yeast. If there are any viable yeast left - no harm done - if there aren't, then you've made sure that all the effort of brewing and bottling hasn't been wasted..... unless you don't mind sweetish flat beer. rb
