Honey Brown Lager

Just want to know is there anything I can add (chocolate malt perhaps) to a commercially produced honey brown homemade beer kit that will make it more honey brown? I live in Canada and my favourite (notice the Canadian spelling) brand is Sleeman's Honey Brown. I want to make a beer similar to this (note: I said similar and not like). I like all homemade beer regardless. Just asking!

You might want to consider a dark crystal malt. I use a lot of chocolate malt for Porter. It imparts a black coloring (slightly smoky flavor) to the wort not brown. (or the stuff I'm getting does)

I put molasses in my porter for flavor. I had some "extra light" DME sitting around with no particular recipe in mind and put an 8 ounce bottle of molasses in it for color and flavor, it resulted in an amber hue.

If it's color you are after I would do like you suggested and add some darker malt. Darker malt equals darker color.
