I went to one of the sites mentioned in this group,

The guy says that the iodine-based sanitizer Iodophor sanitizes with



10 minutes contact time. Well, the Northern Brewer site and catalog says it works in just one minute. I've just purchased some but have never used it before. Anyone with some knowledge of this product?

Depends on the concentration used, but the general rule of thumb I have used is 1 minute of contact time if the mixture still has a hint of color to it.

According to the head of the company, 1 minute ar 12.5 ppm is good. You can read more about it here...

just remember not to lose count at around 500,000 parts of water. then you'll have to start over again. that would plain old suck.
