Pilsner yeast question

I am making a pilsner urquell clone using 9 lbs german pils malt and 1/2 lb carapils and 4oz saaz. I got some WLP802 Czech Budejovice lager yeast. I pitched to a starter yesterday at around 4pm and now almost 20 hours later there is no sign of activity in the starter. anyone ever use this to know if it is normal? if not what should I do? BTW the starter is at room temp.

Sounds like you've got some yeast that is still sleepy from its long nap. This happens all the time, don't worry about it. Assuming you used good sanitation techniques for your starter, including an airlock, etc., just leave it sit for several days, even a week, until it does wake up. Relax. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait. On the other hand, it is possible that it might be totally dead, for instance if you got it too hot. But I'm pretty sure there's at least one or two live cells out of the millions of them that could start the whole colony going again.
