Please accept my apology!

To all concerned,

Today, I have received written and verbal reprimands from my autoresponder company, Aweber. In my ignorance and innocence, I forwarded a letter provided by Moneyhome.com. The intentions were pure-at-heart. I genuinely thought I was taping into what would be a viable arena of viewers interested in what I had to present.

After having my autoresponder shut down today, it has been my sad discovery that my signature links (which contained ads about the businesses I am affiliated with), isn't allowed by the majority of these News Groups.

I want only to make ammends for my misguided message and want you to know I am sorry. I truly hope I have not caused much inconvenience for the recipients of that email.

I ask to be forgiven for my actions and genuinely feel terrible about what resulted.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Julie Barkley

Ignorance and innocence?? Give me a break. You mean to tell me that you know how to post to a newsgroup but you had no idea of what constitutes 'spam'?

And by the way, you committed several violations:

  1. As far as I can tell, your spammed post was your first post to this group (and you probably did the same thing with other groups which you joined just so you could post your spam);

  1. It was blatantly off-topic and not even remotely related to home brewing beer, which is what the group is really about, but instead was self-serving commercialism; have you ever considered how useless these groups would become if everyone else who had something to sell posted an advertisement. Posting spam selfishly shows the utmost inconsideration, lack of manners, and total disregard for the welfare of the group and the Internet;

  2. Netiquette permits a 4-line sig ... total. Yours took 9 if we disregard the blank lines, and contained 6 html links. Ridiculous.

Frankly, I'm disappointed that all you received was a reprimand; they should have discontinued your service and kicked you in the ass.
