The problem is that this is not the TeaTalk Forum. This is a newsgroup called rec.food.drink.tea. It has absolutely nothing to do with the site that you're on. Whether right or wrong, there are some of us who are rather irked over this.

I should mention that if you have a question, you should email the owner of the site, instead of asking a question on the "forum", which isn't actually his discussion forum.

Posted and emailed.

As I mentioned in my reply to your "Order" your message ended up on a Usenet newsgroup.

Please inform the website you were on that it would be best to eliminate their interface to this newsgroup as they are losing orders because of it. Your message isn't the first that's come through, but it's the first and last that I'm responding to via email.

Actually I would agree with you Blue except that the website does say that it is an interface to the RFDT group. I think the problem has arisen in the fact that the people who are posting throuh their site don't KNOW what Usenet even is, and they aren't obviously reading the title of the page (rec.food.drink.tea) not to mention that even if they read it some of them apparently don't understand it. Part of me is glad there is an interface where people can post here without needing a newsreader and newsserver and all that, but I do wish the owner of that site would give more information about where the postings are actually going so that the complete newbies understand it's not a forum for their particular site.. I other words, if you have people who are really clueless about usenet you have to go overboard to try to get them to understand before they post. It's hard to just stumble into posting on usenet in other ways, IMHO.

On the other hand, maybe the site owner doesn't want people to realize that the forum is a Usenet group accessible by every and anyone from many different portals, and is not a creation and "service" provided by the shop itself. In which case I feel used.

Clarification: I looked at the actual posting form and it does seem to make that clear to all except wilfully ignorant people who don't read the instructions. And, well....Usenet and the internet has been dealing with those for years.
