Could this be a tea plant?

Any specialists here that could help me? could this by any chance be some rather crippled tea plants? I found two of these in a pot where i once threw tea seeds that i bought very cheaply from (i think) Vietnam (via ebay).

Im going to guess yes. Ive seen pictures of the bush. This reminds me of two leaves and a bud. I was expecting more seedling and stalk than stem and leaf. Ive only seen the serrated edges on the tea leaf. Does the leaf look like bud when emerging ie narrow, long and twisted. There will be a flower eventually for more seeds. Nigel would know if he is still around.

i think the emerging of the leafs looks a bit like for tea plants; but im not 100% sure (i've seen tee plants in the field in india and they looked quite a bit different... jet similar enough for my suspicion)

anyone knows how the roots of tea plants are? the roots of those small plants are very straigth downwards
