Introduction

Hi everyone

I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I am an Aussie gal (originally from Perth) living in the vibrantly rich suburb of Leimert Park, California, and I love nothing better than a nice hot brew of Yunnan tea! Though I'm pretty much equal opportunity!

Looking forward to being part of this forum!

Welcome, Linda. I think you'll like this group - civilized (certainly by usenet standards!) and passionate about tea. I've learned an immense amount here. Enjoy!

Welcome Linda,

I too enjoy a cup of Dian Hong on occasion. What is the tea scene like in Australia? I know you have Gray and Seddon's etc but is that quality level fairly common or is it an exception?

Thanks for the welcome! Alas - while I know that Australians have great love for the their "cuppa" tea (as in, do ya want a cuppa?), much like my late blooming interest in wine, I didn't get into tea until a few years ago. So now I am making up for lost time. I do remember a great Lipton tongue-in-cheek teabag commercial from Australia though (and it may have been one in the U.S) asking "Are you a jiggler or a dangler"? Sadly I was neither. And now I am a loose leaf tea lover. : )
