Santa Fe/Taos tea?????

hello, all, I'll be travelling to Santa Fe and Taos later this month and wondered if there are any tea sources/shops etc. that are worth visiting while I'm there. Any input is gratefully anticipated! Shen

Find a place which offers greenthread, it's a plant which makes great herbal tea. I had it in a small coffee/tea place near shiprock in northwest NM, don't recall the name though.

Thanks; but, actually I'm looking for REAL tea (camellia sinesis). I'm formerly a Taosena and I'm familiar with "greenthread". It's often called "Navajo tea" and used by the pueblo peoples, as well. It typically used for heartburn, acid-y stomach and hypertension. I'm just on the lookout for cool tea shops. Shen

Ah, many apologies than, I wasn't aware of your background, just thought I would make mention of it, as I found the resulting brew was quite pleasant despite its not being a 'tea' in the strictest sense, and we do occassionally have some tea/tisane overlap in here. I suppose you have already checked teamap.com as well? Again, no offense is intended, just hoping it may be of some help if it has not been so already.

Oh, no problem. I am grateful for your response. But, in my searches I have found nothing except a couple of lacey ladylike tea rooms. Fun as it may be, I just can't stomach flavoured teas. Shen
