For Christmas I received $30 for a special tea purchase. I wanted some money to splurge on a tea that I normally wouldn't buy because of cost. Part of me would love to buy a really good Sencha or Shincha, but this isn't the right time of year for that. My main "daily at work" tea is uncooked/raw/green puerh, which should be fine to purchase anytime so seems like a better choice. I have been getting Imperial Tea Courts Aged Green Puerh Tuo Cha. It fits my budget well.
I'm looking for suggestions for a better Puerh to purchase for special occasions. I've been looking at some of Holy Mountains Puerhs and have called and asked for a Silk Roads catalog for the third time. Hopefully it comes this time. This special purchase could be a larger quantity of good tea, or a smaller quantity of great tea. I've been doing some research, but thought I'd check here to see what those of you who have been bitten by the Puerh bug are drinking.
Thanks,
Blues
P.S. I've yet to meet a cooked/black puerh that did much for me.
