[AD] Springbank 21 and Whisky Magazine!

On a personal tasting note, I have found a La Maison du Whisky in Paris a Glenfarclas Single first fill Sherry Cask (Distilled circa

1990 and Bottle aroung 2003) to be the very best Malt I have ever had

--by a mile.

Paris a Glenfarclas Single first fill Sherry Cask (Distilled circa 1990 and Bottle aroung 2003) to be the very best Malt I have ever had --by a mile.

I picked up a similar little number from Glenfarclas bottled for the Millenium celebrations--and it WAS absolutely fantastic. NOT overly-sherried relative to the structure of the Glenfarclas distillate itself--instead it was a big, robust, and perfect marriage of good whisky to phenomenal cask.

Yeah, the price was around 60 euros or about $80; a steal when you compare to the other first fill sherry casked malt that I know of, the Gran Reserva (which in my opinion does not quite compare favorably regardless of price.)
