Anyone going to the Islay Festival?

Question

I am just about to leave with the wife to catch the ferry from Holland to Newcastle and later on in the week we are going to Islay . We have rented a cottage in Port Charlotte. Anyone else going? All the activities are here

I will be attending two masterclasses in Bruichladdich, one in Caol Ila and one on Jura during the week. I intend to go to a ceilidh most nights. If anyone is I correspond with here, is going too, it would be nice to meet up. Sunday 24th of May I will be at the Rabbie Burns Masterclass at Bruichladdich. Just shout, "hey Jock" and I will respond. Will send a detailed report when I get back in June and post some pics of the trip.

Well you could just have shouted Hey Jock Shaw. I think I was the only one there with that name. BTW the Scots were very much in minority. It was mostly Germans and Swedes. Even at the Bowmore Homecoming Scotland on the main square in Bowmore, it was full of Germans and Swedes. We all danced a huge "strip The Willow"set dance with all 9 distillery managers on the square. I think about 100+ people were in the dance. I almost fainted after going down the lines with me wife.
