Hi,
I have three bottles of Ardbeg 1977 (well, actually only two as I am drinking one...).
I take the 1977 means that it was distilled in that year. But in which year was it bottled?
Does anyone know?
Thanks!
Luca

[] | Ardbeg 1977 | Date of distillation: 03.02.1977 | Date of bottling: 2001 | Vol.: 46% | Number of bottles: 24000

24.000 bottles at 70 cl./bottle = 16.800 liters 16.800 liters/250 lt. (content of a hogshead) = 67 casks All in a day? Sounds very strange!
yes, looks like a "off by one error" in the database. oddbins is talking about 2400 bottles: [] | Roll up, roll up! Get your vintage Ardbeg! Just 2,400 bottles avialable!
and the "Ardbeg Archiv Newsletter - Ausgabe 02/2001" (german) is also talking about 2400 bottles: [] | Direkt von der Ardbeg Distillery kommt eine brandneue Abfüllung: Der | Ardbeg 1977.
and given the fact that ardbegs spirit still is only 16.957l it's very likely that the database is wrong.
