I hear it's getting harder to find the Oban OB 14, and although the Lagavulin 16 was scarce for a while, recent posts seem to imply that it's back, albeit at a higher price. True?
I know the delicious Campbeltown Loch 25 was a limited release, so it's not surprising that it's becoming rare. My local barkeep says he's been having trouble re-ordering the lovely Aberlour A'Bunadh. Anyone heard anything about this?

Haven heard anything about the Oban beeing scarce over here, but the Lagavulin is coming and going with the importer getting small batches now and then. Since the sales of alcohol in Norway is strictly regulated through government-run monopolystores, importers can't raise prices when they want - they actually have to send in the new prices, and they don't come into affect until six months later, so the Lagavuling hasn't gone up at all here (which is why I secured myself 3 bottles).
The Campeltown Loch 25 (one open bottle in my cabinet) is unfortunately no more, but has been followed by a Campeltown Loch 21 that I haven't tasted yet - has anybody tasted it?
The A'Bunadh shouldn't be hard to get, but of course local demand could have emptied out the importer/distributors stocks. But since it hasn't got a age statement or anything it should be no problem for Aberlour to cope with increased demand for this wonderful product.
Oban 14 yo will be available next year again if you now have some problems. The reason is that Obany Distillery was renovated just 14 years ago and therefore had a silent season of about 5 months. So don't worry...

If so, I'm running out and buying as much as I can from my newly opened bottle of Batch 9. I think my last one was a Batch 6, and it was lush and lovely, but this batch 9 not only has beautiful bursting sherry, it almost has an almost liquorice like snap to it that makes it quenching and irresistable. And it is incredibly smooth and satisfying--it is almost impossible to believe that it is 60%. An incredible dram.
