I disagree. A "blended malt" refers to a vatted malt. A "blend", in my experience, always refers to a blended whisky. Using "blend" to refer to vatted malt is almost a guarantee of confusing the issue. I recommend continuing to use "vatted malt" rather than "blended malt."
