Is HP back ???

Mind you, I do not ordinarily judge a malt by its box, but ....

Years ago I found Highland Park and it was wonderful, a little smoke and peat, and a deep rich taste. Then, it came in a round cardboard tube.

Sometime later, when I looked for another HP, I found it in a square cardboard box. I remember finding it rather bland, nowhere near as tasty as the earlier expression. I remember at the time writing about this to Johanna (when she favored us with her presence here).

Well, yesterday I found HP in a new container -- a round tin tube. Thought I'd give it another try. And you know, it seems more like the old HP. I really enjoyed it last night. I will get more.

Altho, the guy at the local ABC store told me to enjoy it while I can 'cause it's been delisted here. Rats.

I thought Bushido weighed in on HP at one point, too. I couldn't find anything on it, though... It sounds like these were two different releases, or perhaps from a different distilleries.

The HP I've seen were all in the cardboard tube you first mentioned. I've not noticed the change in packaging but it's not a product I normally purchase, either. Your decription, though, has me strongly rethinking this -- and a Bevmo 5% discount will certainly be a bonus.

Highland Park is currently in the process of changing it's packaging, there are new shape bottles and packing I believe. The shops near me all seem to still have the old one.
