Scotch Tasting & Seminar - Studio City, CA

Hey! Same fellow will be giving his presentation in Austin on Monday. I haven't made any reservations, but if space is left I may go. I'm very much enjoying a Bunnahabhain 12 currently. These presentations are always fun and a good place to learn something too. Hope you enjoy it and I look forward to hearing about your experience.

I'm really looking forward to it, Bart. Most of the time I do my drinking alone. I'm hoping to meet some aficionados that I can get together with for some group tastings, which are a lot more fun. Plus, I'll probably learn something! Wouldn't be the first time.

Looks like the local tasting has already sold out. Unless there's a cancellation or some no-shows I probably won't make this one so I'll look forward to hearing your reactions even more.

Hope you meet some like-minded folk there. This can be a solitary hobby - and it is more fun to share a malt with friends. It's one of the nice things about this newsgroup and other web communities that we who are interested find others who share our interests. Otherwise many of us would be doing our drinking alone. (While face to face is undeniably even better than a virtual community - much easier to pass the bottle!)

Bummer. If it's not too long a drive, like you said, maybe just show up. There's a good chance someone won't make it.

I've made contact with a lot of nice folks here, but, so far, no one in the North Hollywood area. I'll post a 'review' of the tasting party.
