What's your most humorous drinking experience so far ?

What's the most humorously embarrassing drinking experience/s - of drinking either beer and / or any spirit/s (maybe it wasn't so funny at the time, but it is now) you've experienced so far (either during or after drinking), or that you saw happen to someone else and please briefly elaborate on what happened.

Very embarassing, but it was 30 years ago. I was visiting a friend who's family was deeply Scottish. His father had a few of his Scottish friends over at the same time and they offered me a dram of Scotch.

When asked if I wanted a bit of water with it I replied..."have you got any Ginger Ale?"

At Horgan's Bar, on 233rd St., between Van Cortland Park Ave. & Herkimer Pl., in da Bronx, back in the 50's, the policy was if ya fell off the stool, one of the other drunks . . . er, customers, or the bartender, would help you back up. If you fell off a second time, someone would walk you home. My unnamed helpers leaned me against the front door, rang the bell and ran back to the bar. When my mother opened the door, I fell into the house. She threw a glass of cold water on me. I woke up in bed the next morning, having no idea how I got there. Most nights were Old Forester with Sherry back. Hadn't discovered Scotch yet. ;-(

Never had one.. unlike other drinkers who can become very amusing I tend to become smarter more polite and at the end of an evening quite erudite. Anyone who says otherwise is just jealous.

Recently, I enjoyed a nice bit of Laphroaig. After finishing, I thought I'd try some Talisker. Bad move. The Talisker tasted like water. The most unpleasant single malt I've ever tasted.

Most people aren't proud of doing really stupid things, and don't form faulty judgements from the results.
