1993 Chateau Figeac bought on release (2 left from a case). Not a highly regarded wine from a less than stellar vintage but quite tasty. I recall opening a bottle years ago and the wine was thin, light and green tasting. Opened last night with dinner the wine was medium weight with a bit of glycerin coating the glass. A little brickish but still a clear garnet red. Nose of red raspberry compote and cedar. Smooth on the palate showing a bit of maturity with cedar, spicebox and candied apple flavors with a dominant red currant note. "B"
