2000 Bordeaux

My very small local wine store just received a small shipment of the following 2000's.

Chateau Les Templiers --Lalande de Pomerol

Chateau Mazeris Bellevue - Canon Fronsac

La Fleur Carrere - Saint-Emilion

Domaine de Courteillac- Bordeaux Sup?rieur

Chateau Hourtin-Ducasse - Haut Medoc

Chateau Les Vallees -Bordeaux Sup?rieur

Chateau de Fontenille - Bordeaux

Chateau Tour Du Pas St. Georges - St-Georges-St-Emilion

Google doesn't return much. (Which probably says something) Anyone here familiar with either of these?

Thanks Myron

Had 2000 Chateau Hourtin-Ducasse some time ago. Since i like Cabernet Sauvignon (Ducasse is approx. 70% Cab and 25% Merlot, rest is mostly cab franc and petit verdot - correct me if i'm wrong) it was nice wine to accomplish scallop and fish dinner. Not too expensive. I guess you should drink if not older than 2-3 years. How much does ist cost?

oooooops, i have to correct me: just saw that all are 2000s if not too expensive, try a bottle, but as much as i know ducasse ideal age is 2-3 years, so if you like to gamble, give it a try

Yes, this is an exccellent right bank wine. I tasted it when I was there in September and brought some back with me. Not too expensive either.

Thanks. Most wines in the list were between $20 anf $30 Canadian. Two were below $20. I think this one was about $28 CAN.

Cool, the TourDePas hasn't hit the US outlets yet. I think it was under 20Euros a bottle so it's a good candidate for our everyday wine. I was only brought one back with me (I could only fit a case in my hand luggage and that was split accross various things I picked up through various visits):

Tour du Pas -- St Georges Ch. Milens (2) Ch. Soutard (the above and two bottles I can't remember right now were from Ets. Martin in St. Emilion, thanks to Ludo there for the recommendations to taste these).

Ch. Haut Sarpe (2)...this one we really like, I've ordered a couple of cases of this. And the Chateau tour and tasting was one of the best of our trip. Ch. du Tertre (one 96 and one 2000) Ch. du Taillan (this one was the "award" for finishing the Medoc marathon)
