Looking for something too drink with venison pot roast last night and I stu mbled across two bottles of 2000 Guigal Chateau de Ampuis Cote Rotie that I bought on release in a case lot. The wine is an almost sparkling light re d in color and quite translucent. Nose of red fruits and smoked meat with a ripe fruit sweetness about it. Smooth on the palate, medium bodied, brig ht cherry, strawberry, red berry flavors, low tannins and acidity. Pleasure to drink as it's quite tasty if not the biggest syrah I've ever tasted. " B+"
