2005 9th Island, PN Tasmania

On the nose strawberries (ripe) and cherries I thought a little ofthe vegetal stuff of Cab Franc but . . .

Color really bright on pour but deep ruby on reflection. Nice acidity crisp though the fruit was definitely there to stay. As Bev says this is one of those gets better with every sip wines. At $17.99US not as good a deal as Matt S might get, but a good wine for the money. Took me back to Tazzie for a fraction ofthe airfare.

Yes, not Steffano Lubiano, but. Thanks for the note about the 2nd label if I see Pipers Brook I am likely to take a chance.

BTW have you ever heard of Fauna? They actually seem more a NZ negociant type label which sells a Tazzie Pinot Noir at about $14US a price point that I see as high for what it appears to be and not high enough for a quality wine. Remember the 9th Island was at $18US and I know a damned site cheaper in OZ.
