Opened last night in the garden with assorted cheeses, olives, etc. Perfect midwestern evening in Ohio so I ate leftovers and snacks with a bottle of 2006 Alto Moncayo Veraton (Jorge Ordonez) from Spain. This is their entry level wine and the price sticker said that I paid $21.00. Deep purple in the glass with aromas of blueberry, blackberry and apple pie spices. Smooth and clean with a fair amount of ripeness but not overbearing. Typical grenache juicyness with blackberry and clove flavors, soft tannins. A good quaffer. "B+"
