With a light dinner of fresh shucked oysters and cold stone crab claws I opened a bottle of Domaine de la Rossignole Sancerre 2007 tonight. Clean, bright grapefruit nose with a touch of orange zest and acacia flowers. Initial flavor on the palate is a squeeze of fresh lemon followed by almond paste and finishing with a squeeze of fresh lime. Nice and balanced with a nice background minerality and a crsip acidic streak.. A nice wine for just under $20 US. Solid "B/B+" on the Dale Scale.
