Grilled a capon last night and made a little pesto with what's left of our basil from the garden for dinner and opened a bottle of 2007 Felsina Bernardenga Chianti Classico. Deep reddish purple. Lots of ripe fruit on the nose, blackberry, and black cherry with a slight herbal note. Smooth and ripe on the palate with a tangy acidity and minerality on the finish. Plenty of cherry, currant and faint bacon notes. Nice bottle of Chianti for just over $20.00. "B+"
