b&j wine coolers lifetime

I don't know if they are considered wine or not, but someone left a bunch of these things at my place a year ago. Those fruit flavored sparkling wine cooler drinks that is. They are somewhat revolting to me but I guess people like them.

I don't know whether to discard them or give them to my neighbor. Would they still be good or even safe to drink?

Hi Ralph, From the best information I have, the term "wine cooler" is a misnomer. Most of these beverages have no wine in them at all, and fall into the malt beverage category. If you don't like them, give them to your neighbor or save them for your non wine drinking friends. I don't think anyone will be poisoned, but they might spit it out. :-)

This is true, but I believe that the B&J (Bartles and James) were actually wine. Although I could be wrong..

Regardless, they are pretty yucky (IMO)...Although I do like the ocassionaly Mike's Hard Lemonade...

I used to drink wine coolers when I was 20-something. Bartles & Jaymes did have actual wine in them, as did Seagrams Golden, but White Mountain was really a beer cooler.

Dan-O (that stuff would bore me now!)
