I usually buy some futures in the better vintages, but the prices of the 2005s have kept me from most of my regulars. I only bought the following: Petit Bocq @ $15 Caronne Ste Gemme @ $13 du Tertre @ $34 I also got a case of Rouget in 375s. I like having halves around. WHWC had the Rouget for $35/750, upcharge for changed bottle sizes was $25. I figure it's unlikely I'll find any good Pomerol halves for $18.50 at release. I hate to basically sit out the vintage, but some prices are jaw-dropping.
I'll try to fill in some on the '01s, '02s, and '04s. The former pair has some well-priced wnes, maybe there will be space-clearing sales. I've gotten some '04s prearrival- Leo-Barton, Pavie-Macquin, d'Issan. Will buy others as I taste.

Dale I have the Barton 2004 and Pontet-Canet 2004 at half the price of 2005... just go and search.
OT, watching the golf, Mickelson looks good, but for once the rest of the world have a chance. What an awesome course, pig greens and stinking rough.

John, I paid $25 for '04 Ch. d'Issan, $42 for Leoville-Barton, and $37 for Pavie-Macquin. You're right- all about half the tariff for the 2005s.
While I'm not a golf guy, I feel sorry for those that got late start today. I'm about 8 miles away- it's well into the 90s and humid.
