Burgers and Bordeaux is a nice combo. How was the Prieure Lichine?

It was excellent. I wasn't really drinking it with an eye toward taking notes. The fact that they didn't have the lamb I was planning to order kind of threw me for a loop. I had stocked up on the 82 and 83 PL, but when it came time to get 2 bottles to take I couldn't find them. The PL is in the bottom of my cellar and those vintages are probably in the back. Since my back surgery last year I haven't been able to reach there. I am moving my cellar (25 feet) in a couple of months and I will reorganize then.
When I said how wonderful it was I didn't mention that they are now 100% non-smoking (as are all Nevada restaurants). A big problem previously was that it was very smoky. You can now taste the food and enjoy your wine.
Fred.
That is a wonderful thing, Fred. Even my small Midwest community has now banned smoking indoors, which for a wine drinker is splendid news. It also sounds like Las Vegas is becoming a true restaurant town, what with Thomas Keller's outlet there and so many other emporia of haute cuisine.

thanks. When you get to the '83, I'd like to hear about it, I think '83 beats '82 in most Margaux.
