That coincides with a funny observation of an acquaintance of mine (in the business). He went to lunch/dinner with his wife and ordered a screw-capped wine without pointig out this fact to his wife. The wine was presented, opened, the test sip poured, the wine agreed upon, and both glasses poured.
Then the server closed the bottle and stood it on the table (or into the ice bucket; cannot remember what it was exactly).
This was exactly the second when the wife realized something was going an unusual way: "Why do the reclose the bottle? Somehow that bothers me. I don't know why, but it's like that. I wouldn't have minded if they'd left the bottle open."
