I'm not a big Chardonnay fan, especially U.S. Chardonnays, but like a good French Chardonnay. I'm told it's probably the oakiness that I don't like, although I can't really say for sure that's what it is, although I also can't rule it out.
Anyhow, today while shopping for some wine, I found a couple Australian and Chilean Chardonnays. Has anyone tried these? Can anyone give me any idea how they are? Are they real oaky like the American Chardonnays? Are they worth the $20 price tag? There were several, so I don't recall the names of the wineries, but next time I go, I'll have to jot them down.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
