Hello; As previously mentioned in passing, last Saturday self and Xina partook of a B N from George Dubeouf, a k a the king of Beaujolais (I don´t know _where_ he is called the king of Beaujolais - possibly in Sweden?), and which bottle was not all that bad. For a B N. We have often found the B N to be slightly chemical tasting, synthetic, whatever you´d like to call it - not like a wine, really. This one was nicley rounded and could almost be mistaken for a young Village (I suppose that, in essence, that is what a B N really is). According to some local authorities (yes - they are _Swedish_ authorities), this year's B N is rather good due to two circumstances: the heat, which caused a very early harvest, and the drought, which caused a reduction of the yield. The first because that allowed the infant wine some extra weeks of 'maturation' (sic). The second, because that would mean a more concentrated grape juice to work with. According to some producers in Bourgogne, the yield was reduced typically with 30 % (look for price hikes!). What´s your opinion? Cheers
