Cornas, Les Barcillants,Les vins de Vienne

Rich, leathery a little note of violets(?) deep dark color and long lingering finish, oh did I mention it was priced at 19.99 USD? When I opened it was just a tad green on the finish but by the time dinner arriver (lamb chops on the grill) the wine had developed full and rich, chewy even. I am definitely looking for more of this.

Don't know the producer, but can't remember the last time I saw a Cornas at $20. Thanks for notes.

Les Vins de Vienne is a company started by Francois Villard, Yves Cuilleron, and Pierre Gaillard. They seem to be doing mostly northern Rhones, but also a CdP - owning some grapes and acting as a negocient.

I have a bottle of 2001 Vin de Pays des Collines "Sotanum" - a tiny appelation just outside of Cote Rotie. But I'm not really anywhere near wanting to open it yet.
