de Vite?

You are in luck. I have the book Vino, 1st edition, by Burton Anderson with a copyright of 1980 that concerns only Italian wines. Here is a quote from p. 125 in the Trentino-Alto Adige chapter.

"Hofstatter's white wines are Gewurztraminer, Rheinriesling, Weissburgunder(Pinot Bianco), Rulander(Pinot Grigio), and de Vite, from a curious cross of Riesling and Trollinger, an offshoot of the Schiava vine. A wine to be drunk very young, de Vite has so much personality that it tastes good with asparagus, a food that compromises the flavor of most other wines."

I can tell you nothng else, because I have never tasted this wine or seen it for sale in a US store.

I have not seen it here (Columbus, Ohio) since about 1985 or so. It was really quite remarkable in its intensity of flavor. I remembered that it was a wine from one of the NE provinces, but beyond that I had no info. None of my books mentions it.
